What is the CP?
The International Baccalaureate (IB) Career-related Programme (CP) is an educational programme for students aged 16 to 19 that combines the educational values and principles of the IB with vocational training focused on the world of Sports. It offers a flexible programme with quality assurance and support for professional development and offers direct access to university upon completion of the two-year programme.

The International Baccalaureate Career-related Programme incorporates the educational ideals and principles of the IB, with an approved Vocational Training qualification. It is the only programme that provides three qualifications:
- International academic qualification with direct university entrance
- National academic qualification (corresponding to a first level) to access advanced vocational training courses
- National and international professional qualification
At Agora Barcelona International School, we offer two vocational training programmes that incorporate the CP: Natural and Leisure Guide, and a Football Coaching Certification (levels I and II).
The International Baccalaureate (IB) is a prestigious, globally recognized programme that guarantees comprehensive preparation and provides multiple benefits such as critical and independent thinking, clear and effective communication, self-confidence and awareness, and community involvement. IB programmes encourage students not only to excel in their studies but also in their personal growth.
The CP helps prepare students to participate effectively in life, while fostering attitudes and habits of mind that enable them to continue learning throughout their lives and engage in learning that develops their capacity and willingness to generate positive change.
CP Educational Programme
The Career-related Programme consists of three components:
- International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) academic courses: Students complete at least two Diploma Programme courses. One of the courses corresponds to the Language Acquisition Studies (Language B English, Language B Spanish, or Language Ab Initio Spanish), and the other to the Individuals and Societies (Economics). This group of subjects is taught entirely in English.
- CP Core Components: Students develop four CP core components (Personal and Professional Skills, Language and Cultural Studies, Community Engagement, and the Reflective Project), based on IB attributes, which serve as a context for the Diploma Programme courses and Vocational Studies (in English).
- Vocational Training programme of your choice: Outdoor and Leisure Guide (in Spanish and Catalan), or Level I and Level II Football Coaching Certification (in English).
