Infant Education
Preschool is the stage during which children develop on an emotional, affective, physical, motor, social and cognitive level.
It is a key stage in the development of our very youngest students so each child’s progress is individually monitored; children work at their own pace within a warm, caring and stimulating environment. At Agora Barcelona International School, we believe that an effective education is key in each children’s developmental years. Those first steps are crucial to stimulating their passion for learning and helping them manage their emotions, build social ties, and discover their natural talents.
Agora Barcelona International School is an authorized center to offer the International Baccalaureate® (IB) Diploma Programme (DP) and is currently a candidate* school for the Primary Years Programme (PYP) and the Career-related Programme (CP) of the IB. Our goal is to achieve full authorization in these programs and establish ourselves as an IB World School. We share a common educational philosophy with other IB schools: a commitment to high-quality, inspiring international education. At Agora Barcelona International School, we foster a reflective, inquisitive, active, and creative learning environment that is continuously evolving, with the purpose of preparing students who are committed to their future and to the world around them.

Agora Barcelona International School offers a complete educational adventure for the little ones. Preschool Education gives children the chance to play together, build relationships and experiment with different hands-on activities. English, Music, Sports, Psychomotor skills (the relationship between cognitive function and physical movement) and emotional education are an important part of this phase, providing a positive and stimulating environment that lays the foundations for your child’s educational future.
Our students receive an international education and learn languages organically. English immersion with our trilingual teachers is another distinguishing feature of our programme. Through play, music and art, amongst other activities, from a very young age our students learn to speak English and develop a positive attitude to other languages and cultures. From the age of 5 onwards, they can begin to learn German or French.
We work in indoor and outdoor environments. We emphasize play and exploration, as well as reflective, active, and creative learning.
A close home-school relationship is essential and from Preschool onwards we work closely with parents and families to guide our pupils on their journey up through the school. The children develop happily, playing and discovering their skills in a familiar environment with a great team of professionals who aim to cultivate a passion for learning.
At Agora Barcelona International School, we believe every child forges his or her own path to learning, guided by our experienced and caring teaching staff. Our aim is to train individuals who, from an early age, are respectful, imaginative, curious and capable.
