Academic, family and sporting life in the Agora Barcelona International School residence hall

Agora Barcelona International Boarding is Agora Barcelona International School's new residence and programme for students who want to combine their studies with sports training.

Living in the residence, integrated in the school, they will be able, in addition to studying their international academic studies, to prepare themselves professionally through the best sports specialists and live surrounded by nature, 40 minutes away from Barcelona.

Within the same complex, and in this innovative programme, we offer the possibility of becoming qualified in football, paddle tennis, tennis, golf, chess or E-games, thanks to the more than 40,000 metres of sports facilities we have: swimming pool, artificial grass 11-a-side football pitch, artificial grass 7-a-side football pitch, sports hall, paddle tennis courts, tennis court, adjoining golf course... and all this, located in a residential area in front of the Montserrat Mountain where residents will live surrounded by the countryside.

What exactly does the Agora Barcelona International Boarding programme consist of?

This programme is aimed at boys and girls between 10 and 18 years of age, both sports enthusiasts and those interested in access to top level sporting activities who want to combine their studies with the possibility of playing sport on a daily basis, both inside and outside the school grounds.

It includes three different things: academic studies within the centre, living with other students in the residence (where they will lead a more familiar life, always anchored to the routines) and sports training in tennis, golf, football or paddle tennis, thanks to different partners with whom the centre itself works.

Based on academic personalisation, students will be able to combine sports training with their commitments in other clubs outside our campus.

Partners that will help us with sports technification

To prepare our students to be the best in football, paddle tennis, tennis, golf, chess or E-games, we have partners who are great professionals in each of these specialities

• Wospac: A benchmark in Spain as one of the most relevant high-performance sports academies, it combines sporting, educational and personal wellbeing techniques to cover all the areas that affect students in a hybrid way. Athletes, teams and coaches who have already used their services rate them with a score between 9 and 10.
• Golf Academy: an academy specialising in combining high performance golf training within the only golf club in Barcelona, with coaches with more than 20 years of experience in this sport. It is only three minutes away from the school and has incomparable facilities: driving range, chipping area, putting and gymnasium among others.
• Catalunya Tennis Academy: specialising in tennis training, they have an innovative programme to help students grow in this sport, while they grow as people thanks to their psychological coaching programme.
• Barcelona Padel Academy: although it was hardly known a few years ago, padel has gained a lot of followers nowadays. That's why we couldn't forget about it in this new sports training programme. To do so, we have the help of the professionals of the Barcelona Padel Academy, a benchmark academy in this sport in Catalonia.
• Barcelona Chess Academy, in collaboration with the Catalan Chess Federation (FCE) will exclusively manage the chess training of students interested in ABIS. Barcelona Chess Academy takes care of all the services that an athlete needs for his technification, physical preparation, transfers to tournaments,
• WIZARDS manages the egames training of the students as well as all the services that an athlete needs for his or her preparation and training in e-games.

Family life in the residence

The other part of the Agora Barcelona International Boarding programme is the stay in the centre's residence, where both national and international students have the most familiar life. Here they have double and triple rooms, on male and female floors, where they will not lack privacy and with common areas (TV room, pool table or table tennis table, among others) to socialise with other fellow students.

The latter will also allow them to grow culturally, as they will live with boys and girls from different countries. At the same time, they will practice languages, as English and Spanish are the two predominant languages in the residence.

Here we ensure their safety and peace of mind: they have carers and educators looking after them 24 hours a day, they have hours of tutored study and we also take their food into account, offering full board with a healthy and balanced diet.
