A forward-thinking academic education for the international community in the 21st century

In a recent interview with El Periódico, the Director of Agora International School Barcelona outlined the factors that are key to the success of the ambitious educational vision implemented at his school. These involve a wide range of methodologies and initiatives designed to prepare the school’s students for today’s global society.

The school’s primary focus is on developing well-rounded individuals at both an academic and sociocultural level, via an innovative curriculum that works in conjunction with each student’s individual strengths and abilities. The importance of English as a global language is emphasised, and the school delivers full courses in music, sport and the arts, making Agora IS Barcelona more than just a school.

In the interview, the director touches on many of the other factors that contribute towards making Agora International School Barcelona such a vibrant place to work and study, including language immersion; the “Connecting Cultures” project; Vocational Training; the International Baccalaureate; and the importance of belonging to the prestigious international educational group NACE Schools, which operates more than 30 schools in 6 countries. He also emphasises the school’s Pre-University programme and the wide variety of subjects offered by the school at secondary level that provide students with the foundations upon which to build their future careers and to prepare them for success in whichever field they choose to enter as the move into the wider world.
