Much more than summer: discover Agora Barcelona’s international Summer Camp

Summer can be much more than a break from school. It can also become an opportunity to learn, build confidence, make new friends and enjoy experiences that pupils remember for a long time. This is the philosophy behind the Summer Camp at Agora Barcelona International School: a programme designed so that children and young people can enjoy their holidays in an international, dynamic and enriching environment.

This international summer camp combines football, English, educational activities and multicultural life in an open, participatory and dynamic atmosphere. It is an ideal choice for families looking for a different kind of summer, where their children can continue to grow while having fun.

What makes this summer camp different?

The Summer Camp at Agora Barcelona International School stands out because it brings together learning, sport, social interaction and meaningful experiences in one programme. It is not simply about filling free time during the holidays, but about offering pupils a stimulating environment where they can develop personal, communication and social skills.

The programme is designed so that every day is varied, active and motivating. Participants take part in activities adapted to their age and level, share experiences with peers from different backgrounds and enjoy a carefully supervised, safe and supportive educational setting.

An international and dynamic experience

One of the camp’s greatest strengths is its international atmosphere. At Agora Barcelona, pupils live and learn in an environment where languages, cultural diversity and openness to the world are part of everyday life.

This international dimension makes summer a much richer experience. Children and young people practise English in real situations, learn to interact with other pupils, communicate naturally and feel comfortable in a multicultural setting.

The dynamic nature of the programme also helps keep motivation high throughout the day. Every day includes new challenges, training sessions, sports activities, educational activities and moments of shared experience that allow learning to happen naturally.

Activities and learning

The Summer Camp is designed so that pupils learn by doing. Activities follow a practical, participatory and experiential approach, far removed from a purely academic dynamic.

During the camp, pupils have the opportunity to strengthen their skills, improve their spoken English, develop their football technique and enjoy activities that combine movement, social interaction and teamwork.

Languages, sport and workshops

English plays a central role in our Summer Camp. As a language summer camp, pupils practise communication in a natural context through games, group activities, training sessions and everyday interaction. This contact with the language in real situations helps them gain confidence without feeling as though they are in a traditional classroom.

Sport also has a prominent place in the programme, especially football and other activities focused on teamwork and personal growth. Our Summer Camp in Barcelona includes the collaboration of WOSPAC, an organisation specialised in international sports programmes, which strengthens the active and multicultural character of the experience. Through play and movement, pupils channel their energy, develop healthy habits and work on values such as cooperation and teamwork.

The programme adapts to different levels through two options: Advanced Training, designed for young people with football experience who want to improve their technical, tactical and physical performance; and Amateur, aimed at pupils who want to enjoy football, strengthen basic skills and live a motivating sports experience in an international environment.

Workshops and educational activities complete the programme with creative, dynamic or personal development experiences, always with the aim of stimulating curiosity and offering different ways to participate, learn and enjoy.

Benefits for pupils

A good summer camp is not only designed to entertain. It also helps pupils grow. At the Summer Camp at Agora Barcelona, every activity is designed to support the personal, emotional and social development of participants.

The camp environment allows children and young people to face small daily challenges: meeting new classmates, taking part in different activities, communicating in another language, improving their football technique, adapting to new routines and becoming more independent.

Confidence, independence and new friendships

One of the most important benefits of this experience is the development of confidence. As pupils participate, express themselves and overcome small challenges, they gradually become more self-assured.

The camp also encourages independence. It helps pupils make simple decisions, organise themselves, look after their belongings, become part of a group and adapt to new routines. All of this takes place in a supportive environment where they feel safe, while also becoming the protagonists of their own experience.

Friendships are another of the great memories of summer. Sharing training sessions, games, activities and everyday moments helps pupils form bonds with one another. For many children and young people, the camp becomes an opportunity to open up, relate naturally to others and enjoy social interaction outside the usual school-year context.

Practical information

The Summer Camp at Agora Barcelona International School is aimed at families looking for an educational, sports-focused and international experience during the summer holidays. It is a particularly interesting option for those who want their children to make the most of this period by continuing to learn, practising English, enjoying football and living an enriching experience in a carefully supervised environment. The programme offers two participation formats:

  • Camp with boarding, for those looking for a complete immersion experience with accommodation in the school residence, supervision and international community life.
  • And camp without boarding, designed as a day camp for pupils who live in Barcelona or the surrounding area and want to take part in the activities without accommodation.
