Agora Barcelona Achieves PYP Authorization: A New Milestone in Our IB Journey

We are proud to announce that Agora Barcelona International School is now officially authorized to deliver the Primary Years Programme (PYP) of the International Baccalaureate (IB). This achievement marks a significant step forward in our commitment to providing an outstanding international education.

What Does PYP Authorization Mean?

The PYP is designed for students aged 3 to 12 and focuses on developing inquiry-based learning, critical thinking, and global awareness. It encourages students to become active, caring, lifelong learners who respect themselves and others, and who have the capacity to participate in the world around them.

Our IB Journey So Far

This is our third IB authorization, joining the Diploma Programme (DP) and the Career-related Programme (CP). With these three programmes, we are building a strong foundation for an IB continuum that supports students from early years through to graduation.

What’s Next?

We are excited to share that our next step will be to begin the Middle Years Programme (MYP) candidacy process, moving closer to offering the full IB continuum. This will ensure a seamless learning experience for our students, aligned with the IB philosophy at every stage.
