Sports
Our well-equipped Sports Centre enables us to offer a comprehensive programme of sporting activities designed to help children to develop physically and mentally, whilst building self-confidence and learning the value of teamwork and companionship. Students may choose from multisports, modern dance, ‘mugendo’ (a martial art), rhythmic gymnastics, skating, basketball, football, swimming, tennis, padel, volleyball and yoga.
Languages
The Language Department offers classes in English, German and Chinese, which are taught by qualified, native teachers using practical and efficient methodology designed to make learning languages easy. Groups are arranged in accordance with the pupils’ language skills and objectives; our class sizes are small and cater for all ages from preschool to adults. We also offer courses for senior citizens, conversation classes, reading activities and private classes for individuals.
Music
Our Music School works in collaboration with the Escolania de Montserrat (Montserrat Choir School), and is affiliated with the Liceu Music School, Barcelona, using the educational tools, teaching materials and evaluation criteria of both centres. Following completion of the various levels, the pupils can obtain both the Basic Level Diploma (B1-B6) and the Advanced Level Diploma, awarded by the Liceu Music School, Barcelona.
Robotics
Robotics is a branch of technology that develops children’s strategic thinking and scientific understanding. Students learn in a practical, simple and stimulating way, developing creative and entrepreneurial skills. Robotics is a multidisciplinary subject which draws on skills from other scientific fields including mathematics, physics, information technology, logical thinking and electronics.
Chess
Several international research studies have concluded that playing chess has a positive influence on the development of cognitive and social skills. Students who attend our chess club learn to solve problems and make decisions, and improve their memory, concentration and mental computation skills as they learn the rules of the game and become master strategists!
Healthy Food Workshop
In cooking classes, students have fun learning to cook a new dish every day while stimulating their senses and acquiring healthy eating habits. An ideal method for them to familiarise themselves with the foods desired and not so desired by children.
Study groups and academic tutoring
These activities are aimed at students who may be finding a subject challenging or need to acquire new study/work techniques. The students are helped to absorb and consolidate knowledge in each of the different subjects, reinforce their understanding, learn to study for exams using study plans and overviews and become more motivated to learn.
